From 1 July 2026, public electricity supply tariffs for household consumers will change. The State Energy Regulatory Council (VERT) has approved public electricity supply tariffs for the second half of 2026. The new tariffs are relevant for vulnerable consumers and household consumers who consume less than 1,000 kWh of electricity per year.

Who do public electricity supply tariffs apply to?

Public electricity supply prices apply to vulnerable consumers and household consumers who consume less than 1000 kWh of electricity per year. VERT reminds that these consumers will continue to be able to use the public supply, which is ensured by the public electricity supplier UAB “Ignitis”, until 2030.

Vulnerable electricity consumers are household consumers who receive or are entitled to receive cash social assistance and for whom legal acts provide for additional social security measures, as well as residents with disabilities.

When will the new electricity tariffs come into effect?

New public electricity supply tariffs will come into force on 1 July 2026. VERT indicates that public electricity supply prices for household consumers are set twice a year and come into force in January and July.

All electricity prices are shown with VAT. If you choose the Efficient plan, you will be charged a fee for the allowed power, depending on the input power in your facility. For example. 1 kW – 1 Eur/month. , 3 kW – 3 Eur/month. etc. This fee is additionally added every month to the amount of electricity you consume.

Tariffs for customers receiving electricity from low-voltage electricity networks.

For all users

  • All household consumers who consumed less than 1000 kWh in the previous calendar year.
  • Also, consumers who had a public supply contract until 30/04/2025 and whose facilities were connected to the distribution networks until 01/07/2022.

  • receives social support;
  • are persons with disabilities;
  • receives a social assistance old-age pension or compensation.

The time of the daytime and nighttime, Saturday and Sunday energy components in the clocks controlling electricity metering devices is set according to winter time and is not changed when daylight saving time is introduced.
